Donald Trump just hired a former Disney channel star to join his ever-changing staff in the White House as a press assistant.
Caroline Sunshine (yes, that is her real name) starred in the kid-friendly “Shake it Up” from 2010-2013 on the iconic channel. Since the show’s end, she has ditched her mouse ears and began interning for various Republican offices.
Sunshine interned with House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), the California Republican Party, and the College Republican National Committee, according to White House spokeswoman Lindsay Walters via CNN. She also served as a White House intern prior to garnering a permanent position.

Sunshine is also not the only TV veteran to join the administration since it began last year. Former White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman famously met Trump as a contestant on “The Apprentice,” and former Fox News analyst John Bolton has been tapped to be his national security adviser.
It’s interesting Trump chose a slender, blonde woman whose character on “Shake it Up” was a flashy, rude European exchange student named Tinka Hessenheffer. Not only does that sound like a bio a high-school classmate might have written of Ivanka, but the interviews given by Karen McDougal and Stephanie Clifford (better known by her stage name Stormy Daniels) indicate Trump may have been interested in them because they resemble his eldest daughter.
Is it possible this hire is yet another foible of a senile old man? Take a look at Caroline and decide for yourself.
