Back before he decided to rip American democracy up by its roots, Donald Trump was a B-list celebrity whose public profile consisted mainly of his television show and appearances on entertainment news and radio stations. In particular, he liked to frequent shock jock Howard Stern’s show. The two developed something of a friendship.
Reportedly, once he was sworn in as president, Trump continued to reach out to nonpolitical acquaintances for input and feedback on his performance. Howard Stern was not one of the people asked to weigh in, a fact which evidently upsets him, The Hill reports.
“I was watching the news. They said that the president calls his friends and asks advice. He’s never once called me and asked for advice. Which kind of got me a little upset,” Stern said on his SiriusXM radio show.
Stern’s co-host Robin Quivers suggested that the reason Trump hadn’t reached out was that he knows that he wouldn’t like what Stern has to say. To that, Stern agreed.

“Yeah, probably not. My advice would be, like, get the f*ck out of there, man. Why do you need that for? Go back to Mar-a-Lago and hang. Just give it over to Pence — let him do his thing,” Stern said.
By many accounts, Trump is absolutely miserable as president. His narcissistic personality makes it impossible for him to handle the constant barrage of criticism that has been rightfully leveled at him and he’s proven incapable of passing any kind of meaningful legislation other than his regressive tax bill that siphoned more money from the middle class and handed it out to the super-rich.
Trump’s constant, petulant Twitter meltdowns are clear proof of his impotence and rage. It seems like it’s only a matter of time before he has a complete breakdown. He’s a man who needs to be praised and flattered, but he’s doing a job for which he is completely unqualified for and completely incompetent at. As such, the criticism isn’t stopping anytime soon.
Trump should do himself and the entire world a favor and heed Stern’s advice. Resign.
