Oh, sweet irony! After Stormy Daniels’ blockbuster interview on 60 Minutes last night detailing her adulterous affair with thrice-married Donald Trump, a close friend of Daniels went on CNN today and revealed that the adult film artist has kept the dress that she wore on the fateful night of spanking and “textbook generic” sex. That means that Daniels is in possession of perhaps the most famous sartorial evidence of an illicit presidential affair since Monica Lewinsky’s infamous blue dress.
Alana Evans, a colleague of Stormy Daniels from the adult film industry, told CNN’s Jim Sciutto that while she was not aware of any texts, photos, or video that Daniels may have, as her lawyer Michael Avenatti has insinuated, she did know that her friend still has the dress that she was wearing when she met Trump in his hotel room.
When Sciutto asked Evans why her friend may have kept the dress, she replied that while she didn’t know for sure, perhaps Daniels kept it as a “keepsake” or maybe even as “actual proof” of the encounter with the pre-presidential Apprentice host and real estate developer.
“I can only speculate the things that may be on that dress, especially if it’s never been washed,” Evans told Sciutto.
Now that the word about the dress has been revealed, its laundry history will be the subject of much speculation by both the public and the White House. According to the web site The Blast, sources close to Daniels say that she plans to have the glittery gold mini-dress, which they describe as “kept in pristine condition,” forensically tested for DNA evidence to prove her claims of the affair.
While the president’s spokespeople have denied Daniels’ statements about her encounters with Trump, he himself has been silent on the matter, not a typical pattern for the man who never met an accusation he wasn’t ready to deny loudly on Twitter before this.
Evans also said that she was previously unaware of the specific threat that Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, recounted last night about a man who threatened her in a parking lot, saying “Leave Trump alone. Forget the story” and then looking at Daniel’s infant daughter and saying “That’s a beautiful little girl. It’d be a shame if something happened to her mom.”
“I know of other threats that have been received, the e-mail and things like that, but I hadn’t heard about this before,” Evans said.
The White House has yet to respond to the specific news about the latest potential evidence that can prove Daniels’ allegations, but despite the $130,000 payment made by Trump’s personal attorney Michael Cohen to the famed porn star to remain quiet about the affair, it still maintains that like, Russian collusion, nothing ever happened.
