With President Trump spending so many of his weekends at his gaudy Mar-Lago resort in Palm Beach, it is no surprise that the people trying to show their opposition to his destructive policies go out of their way to get his attention there while he’s busy golfing and schmoozing the rich suckers who pay him exorbitant sums to hang out at the tacky palace by the sea.
Yesterday protestors swarmed the roads between Mar-a-Lago and the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach to make sure that Trump didn’t miss out on the size and scope of the March For Our Lives.
Now comes word that a progressive political action committee, the Mad Dog PAC founded by former photographer Claude Taylor, is planning on putting up a billboard calling for Trump’s impeachment on a road visible from Interstate 95 on the route between the resort and the golf course where Trump hopefully won’t be able to avoid seeing it as he is driven by, according to a report in Newsweek.

With the slogan “Impeachment now, Make America America Again! 2018,” the billboard is designed to make Trump’s blood boil. Mad Dog PAC has already funded similar billboards across the country, including in Ohio, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and this one in Pensacola, Florida.
While the billboard’s sentiment is shared by a large portion of the 55% of the American public who disapprove of Trump’s performance in office according to the latest Gallup poll, the chances of Trump’s impeachment while his own party retains control of both houses of Congress remains slim unless his continued undermining of the Republican party’s chances of maintaining their majority strains the patience of party leaders enough that they feel they have no choice but to abandon him.
Given the spinelessness that Republican leadership has shown so far against the missteps and misdeeds of the White House, that’s still an unlikely scenario, but with Trump’s instability anything is liable to happen.
