Last night, beloved actor Jim Carrey showed the world his portrait of Sarah Huckabee Sanders, prompting a huge outcry from Trump fans and conservatives across the media.

Unperturbed at being the subject of a FOX News segment complaining about the portrait, Carrey fired back by sharing his latest jab at the president himself, which changes Trump’s signature orange tint to a pea-green a la the Wicked Witch of the West from The Wizard of Oz flanked by a team of flying monkeys:

In 2017, the six-minute short I Needed Color exposed the world to a new side of comedy-legend Jim Carrey when the viral video skyrocketed across the internet.
In the film, the brilliant mind behind fan favorites like Ace Ventura and Dumb and Dumber revealed his struggles with mental illness and his new coping mechanism – painting.

“I think what makes someone an artist is they make models of their inner life,” Carrey explains in the film. “They make something come into physical being that is inspired by their emotions or their needs or what they feel the audience needs.”

For Carrey, the particular emotional inspiration behind his newfound hobby was his split six years earlier from notorious anti-vaxxer Jenny McCarthy. In his own words, Carrey said he took up painting to “heal a broken heart,” but his work has reached far beyond his Manhattan studio and landed him in galleries across the country.
Like any good artist, Carrey is always on the lookout for inspiration to expand his portfolio, and his work took a political turn around the one-year anniversary of Trump’s presidency. In the months since, Carrey has taken jabs at the orange tyrant and every greedy sycophant in his employ.
His first masterpiece was tweeted out to his 17.9 million Twitter followers on November 12, depicting a smug-faced Vladimir Putin receiving a kiss on the rear-end from our shameless Traitor-in-Chief with the apt caption, “They bailed him out, set him up and made him their stooge. With Trump in the WH, Putin may win the 3rd World War without firing a shot. #PuckerUpPOTUS.”

A few weeks later on November 29, he took to the canvas again, this time taking on sentient snapping turtle Mitch McConnell as he prepared to strip America’s most vulnerable from their safety net in the form of gross tax-cuts for the wealthy (a group to which, may we remind you, Carrey himself belongs):
The GOP and WH have become sinister conclaves of souless traitors, liars and thieves – a gangrene we must remove so democracy can live. #killthebill pic.twitter.com/DzXdh68qVB

Trump’s self-fellating State of the Union address likely inspired this nightmare-inducing number:

Jellyfish-who-learned-how-to-walk-on-land Paul Ryan got the Carrey treatment as well after he attempted to extol the virtues of his party’s tax scam by celebrating the $1.50 weekly raise one secretary expected to receive:
Tone deaf Paul Ryan brags that his tax bill is going to make low income voters an extra $1.50 a week! That’s almost enough for a box of Band-Aids. Who needs healthcare? WAKE UP REPUBLICAN BASE! You are parked on the tracks, cheering for the train that’s about to run you down. ;^P pic.twitter.com/Xh0dAiSGtC

Just days after the heinous massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, FL left 14 students and 3 faculty dead after the gunman legally purchased an AR-15, Carrey skewered Trump for taking a golf trip just miles from the funerals of the victims instead of attempting even the tiniest bit of empathy:
It’s President's Day and Chief Little Hands has been busy tweeting from his golf resort, a chip shot away from the latest bloody school shooting. He was hoping to play a few holes while grieving families are busy digging them. I support @cameron_kasky #neveragain pic.twitter.com/ndJcrk3Sw5

This time, the NRA messed with the wrong group of survivors, as the MSD students have rallied against the domestic terrorist organization and successfully managed to get CNN to host a town hall with none other than Florida Senator Marco Rubio. In spite of well-articulated arguments presented by the survivors, Rubio would not deny that he intends to continue taking kickbacks from the NRA, so Carrey depicted the nefarious republican covered in the blood of his teenage constituents:

Rubio‘s agenda is clear. Keep taking millions from the NRA and wash the blood of innocent children off his hands. Apparently $3.3 million is the price of this politician’s soul. pic.twitter.com/wom4IrTfsj

Sarah Huckabee Sanders got the Carrey treatment, too, where he labeled her a “so-called Christian” and called her out for brazenly lying in defense of Trump:
This is the portrait of a so-called Christian whose only purpose in life is to lie for the wicked. Monstrous! pic.twitter.com/MeYLTy1pqb

If we have learned anything from Carrey’s extensive career, laughter is the best medicine, and if nothing else, we’re grateful to see him share his passion with all of us and keep us smiling in these trying times.
