After suffering a particularly vicious attack of Sunday morning Twitter-itis, President Trump was whisked off by his Oval Office staff to the nearest facility that could help cure the frightened Commander-in-Chief of his recurrent malady.
According to The New York Times chief White House correspondent Maggie Haberman, that facility was a golf course.
Aides have decided to whisk Trump to a golf course today.

Reporters in the weekend press pool confirmed Haberman’s account.
"Whisked" is right – members of the pool were told to rush – (i.e. run) – to the vans in the motorcade at the White House. We're here at the golf club now, waiting for developments pic.twitter.com/18e2LBz1uf

The New York Times correspondent posited a possible motive for the excursion in the cold pre-spring Washington DC weather.
Feels a bit cold for golf. But fewer TVs there https://t.co/9grxQ6pyfA

The reference to fewer TVs comes from the apparent trigger for the president’s bout of brain vomit, the viewing of a segment on Fox & Friends about former FBI Director James Comey that led to a reflexive convulsion in Trump’s fingers that forced them to type a vaguely coherent set of lies onto his phone and post them on Twitter.
Haberman, who was personally singled out for a harsh attack by the president on Twitter, analyzed the White House staff’s remedy for Trump’s repeated affliction, noting the therapeutic reasoning behind the behavioral therapy that they prescribed.
Trump enjoys getting himself into traps and seeing if he can get himself out. Same way he returns to reporters whose coverage he hates – he wants to see if he can convince them the next time and get what he considers a “good story”

While the president may see a temporary lessening of the symptoms of his underlying malignancy, his condition is considered incurable. While many civilized countries would suggest euthanasia as a way to end the misery, that solution is unfortunately not an option in the United States at the moment.
