On an appearance on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, Daniels’ lawyer, Michael Avenetti, revealed to Mika Brezinski that the porn star had received threats of “physical harm” against her related to her campaign to unshackle herself from Donald Trump’s unsigned non-disclosure agreement and tell her story to the world – including revealing any “pictures, text messages, or videos” that might have been taken during the affair.

While it is unclear where these threats are coming from – after all, it is sadly common for anybody who dares to oppose the president to be pelted with death threats from rabid Trump fans. The high profile nature of this case makes you wonder if an increasingly desperate President isn’t resorting to unsavory tactics in order to take by force what he could not purchase – which Trump’s dozens of sexual assault and harassment victims will tell you he is certainly not above doing.

Distraught that his usual tactic for solving problems – throwing money and lawyers at it until it goes away – isn’t working out, it is not beyond the realm of possibility that the real estate mogul and known mafia associate is stooping to even cruder methods to force the porn star into submitting to his demands.

Either way, it is absolutely repulsive to see violence being used to intimidate a woman trying to speak her mind so casually and speaks volumes about how deeply misogyny is ingrained in American society.
