Donald Trump isn’t the only member of his criminal clan experiencing marital woes. The president has been on the outs with First Lady Melania for months now due to the growing controversy over his alleged extramarital affair with adult film star Stephanie Clifford, stage name Stormy Daniels.
Page Six reports that First Son Donald Trump Jr.’s wife Vanessa Trump officially filed for divorce in Manhattan Supreme Court today.
“The president’s daughter-in-law filed for an uncontested proceeding, meaning she’s not expecting a legal battle over custody of the couple’s five children or their assets,” Page Six added.
Yesterday, Page Six reported that numerous sources close to the couple believed their marriage was dissolving. Don Jr. and Vanessa have been married since 2005 and have five children together. According to family friends, the two have been leading almost entirely separate lives and Trump Jr. has “changed.”
“The problems have been there for a long time, the couple had hoped to stay together during the president’s time in office, but it is getting harder to resolve their issues. He’s never there,” one source told Page Six.
Reportedly, Trump Junior’s constant traveling only exacerbated underlying issues. He’s also continued to go on numerous hunting trips, cutting into the already limited time available for him to spend time with his family and share his parental responsibilities with Vanessa.
“Don Jr. has been busy traveling, which has contributed to their problems. Vanessa is a devoted mother, but she is increasingly lonely and alone in the house with the children,” said another source.
Additionally, it appears a recent scare in which Vanessa Trump was exposed to a mysterious white powder deeply unnerved her, despite the fact that it ended harmlessly. Even before the terrorizing incident, she had been growing uncomfortable with the intense scrutiny fixed on her family as her father-in-law becomes more globally hated with each passing day.
“Vanessa is by nature is a very low-key person, and she is uncomfortable with the attention her family is getting now the Trumps are on the world stage. She is also worried for her kids, particularly after she received the threatening letter containing the white powder,” one source told Page Six.
Trump Jr.’s increasingly erratic social media behavior and the manner in which he is going out of his way to defend his increasingly indefensible father seem to have finally broken the camel’s back. If Vanessa is smart, she will completely distance herself from her despicable husband before he goes down with his father’s corrupt regime.
