Stormy Daniels just revealed her next move after Trump rejected her ultimatum

Thunderclouds continue to gather over 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and one of the most ominous for President Trump appropriately goes by the name Stormy Daniels. The adult film star has been dominating headlines in recent weeks as she pushes to reveal more details about the affair she claims Trump carried on with her behind Melania’s back.

So far, the non-disclosure agreement she agreed to sign in return for $130,000 in hush money has prevented her from revealing the full story. Now, that final barrier between the American people and the truth about their president’s extramarital affair might finally come down.

The Washington Post reports that Stormy Daniels (real name Stephanie Clifford) has launched an online fundraising campaign to help cover her legal fees so she can break the NDA.

“I am attempting to speak honestly and openly to the American people about my relationship with now President Donald Trump and the intimidation and tactics used against me,” Clifford says in her statement on the fundraising page.

Since launching, Clifford has already raised several thousand dollars with no signs of slowing. Clearly, Americans believe she has something important to say about the cowardly, lecherous man currently squatting in the Oval Office.

“I need funds to pay for:  attorneys’ fees; out-of-pocket costs associated with the lawsuit, arbitration, and my right to speak openly; security expenses; and damages that may be awarded against me if I speak out and ultimately lose to Mr. Trump and Mr. Cohen,” Clifford explains.

As the maelstrom of controversies swirling around the Trump presidency worsens with each passing day, a looming possibility that the president — an avowed misogynist and sexual predator — could be brought down by his ex-mistress carries with it a delightfully ironic tinge.

Clifford has even offered to return the hush money paid out to her by Trump’s hilariously bumbling lawyer Michael Cohen, who used his Trump Organization email for the communications. Yesterday, Clifford’s lawyer Michael Avenatti stated that Trump’s attorney missed the deadline to accept her offer to return the $130,000. Avenatti tweeted that the Trump team should “buckle up.”

While the official line from the White House is still total denial, more and more details are falling into place that seem to confirm Clifford’s allegations. Recently, CNN unearthed a radio interview from 2007 in which Clifford alluded to a secret affair with a celebrity figure who, given the context clues, was clearly Donald Trump.

The Florida radio host  “Bubba the Love Sponge Clem” recently replayed audio clips from the 2007 show. Clifford can be heard being asked to write down the names of famous men she’d had sexual encounters with.

While the hosts of the show didn’t say the names out loud, they reacted with audible surprise when they read it. Clem says that the name at the top of the list was Donald Trump. Clifford stated that the tryst occurred at Lake Tahoe, Nevada, which is where she first met the reality television star. She added that he would contact her twice a month.

It’s hardly a novel observation at this point, but it bears repeating that if President Obama had been accused of carrying on an extramarital affair with an adult film star while Michelle was pregnant right wingers — especially the Evangelical bloc — would have taken to the streets in indignation.

The fact that they are completely silent on the Stormy Daniels scandal shows the rank hypocrisy that infects the Republican Party from the ground up. Hopefully, Clifford goes ahead with her plan to release all of the evidence, so that Trump and his supporters can be properly shamed for their immorality.
