Representative Maxine Water (D-CA) does not appreciate what passes for humor in President Trump’s twisted mind.
As the subject of one of Trump’s attack barbs thinly disguised as a tossed-off laugh line, Rep. Waters knows that the president strikes out when cornered, and with disaster after disaster piling upon his administration, he’s never been backed up as far against the wall as he is now.
Trump struck a particularly low blow against the California Democrat at the bombastic rally he held to support the candidacy of Rick Saccone for Pennsylvania’s 18th Congressional district on Saturday night. Criticizing Waters’ frequent calls for his impeachment, Trump said:

“You ever see her? —(imitating Waters) ‘We will impeach him, we will impeach him.’ She’s a low I.Q. individual — you can’t help it, she really is.”
If ever there were a perfect example of the psychological concept of projection, this was it. Trump’s insecurity about his own intellect, heightened by incidents like his own Secretary of State referring to him as a “f*#king moron,” causes him to lash out at the intelligence of his enemies in a schoolyard game of “No, I’m not! You are!”
Rep. Waters responded to the insult from “con man Don” as she referred to him in an appearance on MSNBC yesterday.
“This is what this con man does. He diverts attention from himself by attacking others,” Waters explained, noting his habit of mostly picking on Democratic women.
“Stormy is not going away,” she said, referring to Trump’s porn star mistress. “If for some reason, Mueller does not get him, Stormy will,” she predicted, doubling down on her impeachment calls.
This wasn’t the first time that Trump has attacked Rep. Waters’ intellect. At the annual Gridiron dinner earlier this month, a satirical affair held by a Washington journalists’ club, he called for her to take an IQ test.
Waters wasn’t surprised by Trump’s attacks at that dinner.
“I certainly expected him to come out with some racist remarks about me,” she said. “So he did exactly what I expected him to do. And, by the way, I’m told he wasn’t funny at all,” she told MSNBC at the time.
Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) also heard the president’s attacks on Rep. Waters on Saturday and sent this tweet in her defense.
Pathetic that President Trump attacked smart and compassionate @RepMaxineWaters — both traits alien to him.

Touche´, Senator Sanders, perfectly put.
