Insiders just revealed how the Hope Hicks departure was the straw that broke Trump’s back

The perpetual chaos and upheaval inside the White House has reached a new low, according to the well-connected insiders at Axios

The departure of White House Communications Director Hope Hicks dealt a devastating blow to an increasingly lonely President Trump, who has lost the company of nearly all of his closest confidants as the rest of his staff slink towards the exits.

“Everywhere you look inside this White House, top officials are fighting, fomenting, feuding or fleeing” reports Axios. “We have never seen top officials this concerned, defeated.”

Trump is in a bad, mad place, feeling ill-served and confined by staff. The people he genuinely enjoys and feels close to are gone (Keith Schiller), leaving (Hope) or getting pounded in the press (Jared).”

The rift between president’s children and Chief of Staff John Kelly is tearing the White House apart as Kelly cracks down on Jared Kushner, stripping him of the top-secret security clearance he should never have had in the first place.

The once cozy relationship between Donald Trump and his fellow racist Jeff Sessions is in tatters, as the President’s resentment at what he sees as incompetence and betrayal at the way Sessions has failed to abuse his position to protect the President from the Special Counsel’s investigation boils over into a full-blown feud.

Yesterday, the Washington Post reported that “behind the scenes, Trump has derisively referred to Sessions as ‘Mr. Magoo,’ a cartoon character who is elderly, myopic and bumbling.”

One cannot help but wonder at how long the President is going to be able to keep this up before it all collapses around him. Between the flight of his associates and the looming Mueller investigation into the President’s alleged collusion with Russian agents during the 2016 election, it’s hard to see him finishing out his first term – and one shudders to think of what our nation might look like once President Pence is finished with it.
