Trump just woke up from a night of steaming and fired off angry tweets about the Russia Investigation

After swearing not to play golf this weekend out of respect for the murdered high school students in Arkland, Florida, President Trump used an inordinate amount of his “executive time” sending out tweets this morning. The main topic of conversation this time was the Russian meddling in the 2016 election.

First, he took aim at Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), the ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee and the leading advocate of releasing the Democratic-composed memo rebutting Rep. Devin Nunes’ partisan attack on the FBI’s FISA warrant application process.

Fact check: Schiff is not short. And he didn’t blame the Obama Administration for Russian meddling, he criticized them for not ignoring Senator Mitch McConnell’s threat to condemn Obama for partisan political interference in the election after Obama told him that he wanted to make the FBI’s findings on the Russian interference public. It was McConnell who prevented quicker steps to counteract the meddling because it benefited Trump and the Republicans.

Add your name to millions demanding Congress take action on the President’s crimes. IMPEACH TRUMP & PENCE!

Trump’s next tweet starts out with an outright lie, and goes downhill from there.

Yes, the man who said of Vladimir Putin “Every time he sees me, he says, ‘I didn’t do that,’ and I really believe that when he tells me that, he means it,” claims that he never said that Russia interfered in the election. Stifle your laughs now, while you remember that his campaign manager, his son, and his national security advisor met in Trump Tower with Russian agents on the promise of receiving damaging info on Hillary Clinton. No collusion there! Perhaps it’s a typo, and he meant “collision” and he simply doesn’t remember being in a car crash with any Russians.

A Trump Twitter storm without a self-aggrandizing comment, no way!  This next one comes with a bonus attempt to defend the legitimacy of an election in which he lost the popular vote and won the electoral votes of three key swing states by infinitesimal margins, aided by massive waves of carefully targeted Russian information warfare on social media.

No, actually you were a horrific candidate and a worse president.

Finally, some truth from the President.

Russia may never have expected their campaign to sow discord in the U.S. to work as well as it did and actually get Trump elected, but their success at doing so surely has them rolling on the floor, desperately trying to catch their breath from their paroxysms of laughter over the stupidity of the minority of Americans whom they leveraged into a win for their boy, who has spent his entire time in office continuing the job of dividing the American people that he started on the campaign trail.

Get smart America! Get rid of this treasonous president and his phony denials of collusion as soon as humanly possible.
