On Wednesday, our nation suffered the seventh deadliest mass shooting in our history. Seventeen people were gunned down by a white supremacist with an assault rifle in a place of learning; yet another gruesome entry for the bloody tallyman to add to the ever-growing chronicle of American gun deaths.

Facebook user Bob Weiss lost his daughter to one of our nation’s constant mass shootings, and took to social media following the massacre in Parkland, Florida in order to beg the American people to do the right thing and vote out every politician who has ever accepted a dollar from the blood profiteers at the National Rifle Association.

Add your name to demand Trump & Congress act to prevent gun violence. THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE NOT ENOUGH!

The efforts to pass domr meaningful, comprehensive gun reform legislation is becoming a Sisyphean task. Each instance of bloody slaughter normalizes the tragedy even more, making it even more difficult for our Democratic legislators to overcome Republican obstructionism.

We keep posting these stories because we cannot allow this to become normalized. There is nothing normal or acceptable about the far-too common acts of mass violence that our citizens inflict upon their neighbors with the aid of guns, cheered on by a firearms lobby that works relentlessly to put weapons in the hands of a civilian population that has proven time and time again that they are incapable of using responsibly.
