As one of the two players on the Philadelphia Eagles who played for the New England Patriots the previous year, Chris Long is in rare company as a member of two different Super Bowl winning teams two years in a row.

Long has been one of the more politically outspoken NFL players, skipping the Patriots’ post-Super Bowl visit to the White House last year and vowing not to make the trip this year either.

Now, he’s taken to Twitter to condemn Fox News host Laura Ingraham after she attacked NBA All-Star LeBron James for criticizing President Trump.

Ingraham said on-air that the Cleveland Cavaliers Power Forward should “stick to dribbling” and not discuss politics since no one voted for him. Given that no one voted for anyone on Fox News either, and they seem to discuss politics all the time, Long found the comment so hypocritical that he had to speak out himself and defend LeBron, doing so in a way that makes Fox’s hypocrisy blatantly obvious.

Long initially heard about the story in this tweet:

He then retweeted it with his own comments attached and proceeded to give numerous examples of non-elected conservative celebrities whom Fox News and Ingraham seem to have no problem having express their political views on air.

Add your name to millions demanding Congress take action on the President’s crimes. IMPEACH TRUMP & PENCE!

After providing the pertinent examples, Long gets to the heart of the hypocrisy.

If only all of our athletes were so woke! If Fox News is so offended by LeBron James saying that Trump doesn’t “give a f*#K about the people,” then let them come up with some evidence that he does. Searching for examples should keep them busy until the mid-terms and beyond.
