Trump just made an obnoxious error in his morning Twitter attack on Democrats

It’s no longer a surprise when President Trump starts his morning by turning on Fox News in bed and responding to whatever vitriolic propaganda he sees by leveling false attacks at Democrats.

This morning however, he managed to outdo himself (tweet below).

The president began by predictably blaming Democrats for a failure to have a deal in place to protect Dreamers — a transparent lie, because if a clean DREAM Act ever came to the floor of either chamber, it would pass with virtually every Democratic vote.

But he was just getting started.

President Trump then had the audacity to suggest that the government had a chance to “finally, after so many years, solve the DACA puzzle.”

Years? More like months, five months and eight days to be exact. That was when Trump unilaterally created a crisis out of nothing, threatening to deport 800,000 innocent young people, brought to this country as young children, and protected by President Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program (DACA).

There is no “puzzle.” The president could end this crisis today with the stroke of a pen — just as Obama did. Or he could direct Congress to enshrine these protections into law, needing only a handful of Republican votes to compliment Democrats’ commitment to Dreamers.

This is a crisis of Trump’s making, exacerbated by his Republican enablers. Period.

Trump is right about one thing however. Congress has just three weeks to protect Dreamers from the Trump regime’s cruel deportation plans. Email or call (202.224.3121) your Members of Congress today and demand they pass a clean DREAM Act immediately.
