The presidential portraits of our dearly missed forty-fourth President, Barack Obama and his wife Michelle, were finally unveiled today at the Smithsonian Insitute and hung in the National Portrait Gallery with much fanfare, as a collection of Obama administration veterans and famous icons like director Steven Spielberg gathered to pay homage.

Artist Kehinde Wiley painted the portrait of President Obama while Amy Sherald painted Michelle, much to the president’s delight. “Amy, I want to thank you for so spectacularly capturing the grace and beauty and the intelligence and charm and hotness of the woman that I love,” said Obama during his remarks at the gallery this morning.
