Immediately following his State of the Union address, Trump waded through the crowd of adoring Republican cronies when, at one point, Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-SC), discreetly brought up the highly politicized Nunes memo.
Unbeknownst to the Republican lawmaker, Trump’s microphone was still live.

Yesterday, the Republican-led House Intelligence Committee voted along party lines to release a classified memo critical of the FBI, hoping to sow distrust in the agency as special counsel Mueller’s investigation into the Trump-Russia scandal progresses.
In a telling move, the Committee also voted against releasing a Democratic counter-memo.
House Intel Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-CA) has been at the center of the fight to release the misleading Republican-drafted memo.
By attempting to politicize the FBI, Nunes is effectively doing Russia’s bidding. The Kremlin, of course, launched a massive misinformation campaign leading up to the 2016 election in favor of Trump. Despite the fact that Americans are growing more and more aware of Russia’s meddling – especially on Twitter and Facebook – Nunes’ blind devotion to the Kremlin’s agenda is especially disturbing.
While the Republican Party continues to dismantle itself in an effort to protect a deeply unpopular President, they will have plenty to answer for at the polls in November. If Trump is as reckless with his Russia scandal as he was discussing the Nunes memo tonight, Mueller is certain to have all the dirt he needs on the traitorous president.
