Erstwhile Republican, Joe Scarborough, host of MSNBC’s popular Morning Joe, took to Twitter today to lambast House Speaker Paul Ryan for making “Obstruction of Justice” the official Republican Party platform.
Even after 4 arrests of top Trump officials, Paul Ryan is allowing his party to investigate the investigators instead of Russia. Obstruction of Justice is now a party plank for House Republicans.

More than once, Ryan has closed ranks around Trump transition team member and House Intel chair Devin Nunes in his attempts to cover for the Presidon’t.

Most recently, Ryan has backed attempts to release a classified “memo” Nunes wrote, distorting intelligence in a way that helps Republicans discredit the FBI and Special Prosecutor Mueller for investigating Trump’s Russia conspiracy.
On Morning Joe yesterday, veteran journalist John Heilleman speculated that Nunes may, like Trump’s four indicted aides, be a Russian agent — along with yet-to-be-indicted Trump foreign policy advisor Carter Page.

Meanwhile, last year, a tape leaked revealing Speaker Ryan and some of his Republican House cronies laughing about covering for Trump and Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, whom they believed to be paid by Putin.
Trump and Rohrabacher are not the only GOP politicians to receive funding from Russia.
In December, the Dallas News released an exposé with an interactive chart connecting Russian oligarchs to Republican politicians in the House, Senate, and Cabinet.
To escape association with the toxic Russia scandal, 36 House Republicans have already announced their retirement, along with several Senators.
Even Ryan has floated that he may not run again in the 2018 midterms.
One of his top witch hunters, Trey “Benghazi” Gowdy, announced today that he’s leaving Congress for Trump’s arch-conservative judiciary.
Meanwhile, as his henchmen flee Congress, Trump continues to fire or try to fire each and every person investigating him for accepting Russia’s help in tipping the 2016 presidential election.
With Nunes’ help, the Presidon’t also launched a coordinated character assassination attack on FBI leadership.
Despite running for the exits, Republicans continue to volunteer as accessories to Trump’s obstruction of justice.
Joe Scarborough simply points out what is obvious to anyone paying attention, that Trump and his Republicans are working desperately to cover up a treasonous crime against the United States.
The deeper they dig, the dirtier their hands get.
