Yesterday, Trump’s CIA Director, Mike Pompeo, revealed, “I have every expectation ” that Russia will meddle in America’s upcoming 2018 midterm elections. The comment comes on the heels of a catastrophically consequential Russian influence campaign that occurred during the 2016 election.

Despite the fact that effectively the entire intelligence community has acknowledged Russian attempts to influence our election, Trump has largely ignored all such evidence. Even Congress attempted to pass sanctions against Russia, a move met with defiance by Trump as he refused to impose them.
Preet Bharara was famously fired by Trump; it is widely believed Trump did so because, like former FBI Director James Comey, Bharara was in the midst of investigating the President.

It seems that this administration knows full well the extent to which our nation is under attack by a foreign adversary. The fact that they choose to do nothing speaks volumes about where their loyalties lie.
