Republican Intel Committee just voted to release classified memo to assist Trump’s Russia coverup

Republicans launched an endless, ultimately debunked witch hunt against Hillary Clinton over her private email server, alleging she had endangered national security by making classified correspondence vulnerable to hypothetical hacking.

Moments ago, against the vociferous warnings of the Department of Justice and the FBI, the Republican-controlled House Intelligence Committee — headed by Trump lackey Devin Nunes (R-CA), and prodded by head witch burner, Trey Gowdy (R-SC) — voted to release a classified “memo” Nunes wrote to smear the FBI investigation against Donald Trump for conspiracy with Russia, obstruction of justice, money laundering and other high crimes.

Take action now to demand Congress stop Trump from firing Special Prosecutor Mueller!

Former Jeff Sessions staffer and Trump Justice Department employee, Stephen Boyd, wrote a strongly-worded letter to Nunes, warning him that releasing the memo without letting the FBI and DOJ look at it first, could pose a great danger to national security by leaking without context sensitive details of the Russia investigation.

The memo will be released on the heels of a coordinated, Trump-ordered campaign to assassinate the characters of every single American hero investigating the Trump-Russia conspiracy, just as Special Prosecutor Mueller begins to wrap up his obstruction of justice inquiry.

According to Democrats who have seen the memo, it is a distorted, bogus twisting of facts — some cherrypicked from hacked romantic texts between two FBI employees — to suit the narrative that investigators into Trump’s crimes are motivated by a political agenda, even though they are, almost to a man, lifelong Republicans themselves.

By trying to discredit Mueller and the democratic institution of the FBI, Republicans hope to defang the case against Trump, so they can give him “cause” to fire the Special Prosecutor.

In so doing, they are endangering national security, dismantling the rule of law, and creating an authoritarian fog with which those who have fled dictatorships are all too familiar.

One Republican Senator, Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, said yesterday that if Trump fires Mueller, it will be the end of the Trump presidency.

But with much of the Republican Party protecting Trump, the outcome hangs in the balance.

Trump and his henchmen must be stopped immediately before they destroy our country.  They deserve to go to jail for aiding and abetting the obstruction of justice our failure of a leader is perpetrating against the people he has sworn to serve.
