Is FLOTUS  finally so embarrassed her marriage to POTUS is in the deep freeze?

Rumors that Melania Trump is unhappy in her marriage to Donald Trump have recently risen to a fever pitch in the wake of the latest revelations about the president’s frequent philandering, even though the First Lady has shaken off her husband’s indiscretions in the past.

This time it seems different, however, as Melania hasn’t even made a symbolic effort lately to pretend her marriage is anything more than a business and lifestyle arrangement that suits both of them.

The blockbuster book “Fire And Fury” paints a picture of an isolated couple who have separate bedrooms in the White House, while others report they also have separate bedrooms in their other homes, most notably in Trump Tower in New York City.

Trump has blasted the book as being “full of incorrect information” and Melania has denied they have separate bedrooms but has admitted he keeps a separate bedroom at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue where he can watch multiple big screen TV’s during the night as he eats junk food and tweets his thoughts as they occur.

In the wake of the #MeToo movement, there have also been a series of at least 19 women who have come forward to say that Trump made indiscrete comments, grabbed them or had sex with them – raking up memories of the Access Hollywood tape during the 2016 campaign.

Melania’s last tweet was on January 20 to mark the first anniversary of her husband’s inauguration, but oddly it was accompanied not by a picture of the couple, but of Melania with a military escort. Her tweet said “I’ve enjoyed the people I’ve been lucky enough to meet throughout our great county & the world,” but never mentioned her husband.

Melania has not been seen in public with her husband since January 12 when the Wall Street Journal broke the story broke about the president paying $130,000 to porn star Stormy Davis to buy her silence about an affair they had in 2006-2007, only a year after his marriage to Melania and shortly after she had given birth to their only child, Barron.

Trump has denied the payment but an interview Daniels gave in 2011 was recently published in which she said when she asked Donald about Melania. “Trump brushed off questions about his wife,” reported the article in In Touch Magazine, “telling Daniels during their first alleged tryst, ‘Oh, don’t worry about her.'”

Melania did accompany Trump to Mar-A-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida on one of his weekend golfing trips, but then failed to appear at his side even for a brief appearance during two dinners while there.

The chatter about their chilly relations grew this week.

Yesterday was the Trump’s 13th wedding anniversary, but the tweet-happy president did not tweet out any message to or about his wife – even as he was blasting Democrats for “caving” on the government shutdown deal.

The couple did not appear together in public for a romantic dinner, noted the Washington Post, but this was written off as their usual habit of dining together in private if they were together at all.

What makes the Trump’s lack of public displays of affection notable is the contrast with the last two presidents. President Barrack Obama has always made it a point to publically share his love, respect, and affection for his wife, Michelle, even recently.

Even George W. Bush and his wife Laura, and his father George H.W. Bush and his wife Barbara have shared their love with the public on birthdays, anniversaries and other times.

Rumors about Melania not wanting to be with The Donald burned brightly again today when the First Lady’s spokesman announced her last-minute decision not to accompany the president to Davos, Switzerland for a high profile conference.

Her spokesman blamed “scheduling and logistical issues,” but Twitter was aflutter with rumors that their marriage was rocky with wave after wave of Donald’s affairs hitting the shores.

Other jokes were even crueler.

Melania Trump was a model who at 26 was past her prime when she met and later married billionaire Donald Trump, becoming his third wife. She knew then he had a history of cheating on his wives, but she accepted the life of luxury he offered and for the most part, kept a low profile.

In “Fire and Fury,” author Michael Wolff wrote that Melania never wanted her husband to run for president and didn’t think he would win until in a surprise he was elected. Even after he was sworn in, Melania stayed behind to live in New York using her son’s need to finish his school year as her excuse, as rumors floated that Trump’s daughter Ivanka was more of a First Lady than the real FLOTUS.

Through all of this Melania seemed stiffly stoic, although from the first days the warmth of her relationship with Trump was questioned. For instance, on a foreign trip, she appeared to not want to hold hands with him, which became international news

Now Melania seems not to want to even be in the same room with her husband most of the time but the couple continues to act as if their marriage is business as usual. He still keeps her in lavish style and she gets to raise their her son as she wishes by most accounts.

But even Melania clearly has a lot of pride and all of the harassment claims, the porn star affair and even another rumor in “Fire And Fury” that the president is even now having an affair while in the White House has to have taken a toll on her ego and self-image.

Trump has not shown he really knows how to make America great as he promised, and now it seems he can’t even make his marriage great.
