Trump, for his part, has a sordid history of attacking the press for publishing content critical of him or his administration. As such, he has petulantly resorted to repeating ad nauseam his claim that any media other than far-right outlets are “fake news.”

That claim, of course, culminated into the shameless publicity stunt that Trump dubbed the “Fake News Awards.” As we can now see, those results have gone off not with a bang, but with a whimper.

Oops! Don’t worry, eventually they’ll get their act together and you’ll be able to laugh at Trump’s attempted destruction of the first amendment to your heart’s content.
