Today is the first Martin Luther King Day under President Donald Trump, and it somehow seems unsurprising that the President has spent the past few days dealing with the backlash of some extraordinarily racist remarks.

One would assume that the day upon which we honor our nation’s greatest civil rights hero, President Trump might decide to do a little damage control and perhaps improve his image with minority communities by making a speech of his own, or charity work, or visiting with black students, or anything at all to combat the perception that he’s nothing but a lazy, ignorant racist.

But, inevitably, Trump went golfing instead.

Donald Trump’s laziness has just gone from obnoxious to downright offensive.
