A group of crazed Trump fans in London just perpetrated a very public hate crime against Sadiq Khan, the Mayor of London, because he celebrated Trump’s cancellation of a looming state visit.

Social media videos captured bigots confronting the mayor, a rowdy group of anti-Islam demonstrators expressed their desire to lynch him for speaking out. (video below)
The demonstration ensued after Mayor Khan publicly expressed his relief that President Trump decided to skip the opening of America’s new embassy. After the cancellation was announced, America’s unstable idiot president posted a factless rant on Twitter about the billion dollar new facility.
Today, as Mayor Khan gave a speech in London to a liberal think tank, a group of pro-Brexit Trump fans, who billed themselves the ‘White Pendragons,’ decided to crash the event and attempt to make a “Citizen’s Arrest” while holding nooses.
The Hill reports:
Supporters of President Trump built gallows and attempted a citizens arrest of London Mayor Sadiq Khan Saturday over Khan’s criticism of Trump.
The men were led by David Russel, who reporters identified as a member of the far-right English Defense League and the host of an anti-Islamic radio show. “Mr. Khan, there’s millions of British people supporting Donald Trump,” he said. The crowd booed in response.
When police did arrive, they told Russel and his group they would have to leave.
Mayor Khan calmly bore the spectacle with class and dignity as police arrived and removed Trump’s racist backers.
Khan later tweeted this about the event, which began 15 minutes late after the creepy racist interlude:
Khan tweeted that his speech was about how “we cannot allow a populist, anti-feminist narrative to take hold in Britain.”
“It’s a pleasure to be here, even though we were distracted by the actions of what some would call very stable geniuses,” Khan joked.
It seems obvious to point out that President Trump made alt-right racist friends in the UK by sharing tweets from their version of the KKK.
Shamefully, Donald Trump is determined to cause damage to America’s closest and most important diplomatic ally by driving racist wedges into their politics, just like he did to ours.
Mayor Khan is right to celebrate Trump’s absence from the United Kingdom because there is nothing to gain from inflaming racism just to welcome the man who lost the popular vote in our last election but won the electoral college with Putin’s help.
