A source just told CNN’s Senior White House Correspondent Jeff Zeleny that Trump’s hateful “shithole countries” remark exploded into public awareness today at the very moment that the Racist-in-Chief had the audacity to record a message for Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday.
Irony alert: I’m told President Trump was taping a message for Martin Luther King Jr. this afternoon just as news of the “shithole” immigration remark was breaking.

King had a dream, but Trump is our national nightmare made flesh.

Trump pejoratively compared El Salvador, Haiti and all of Africa to “nice countries like Norway” in a White House meeting on immigration with lawmakers of both parties yesterday.
“Why are we having all these people from shithole countries come here?” said the “president.”
He has called Mexicans “rapists, drug dealers and murderers.” He’s suggested that men should “treat women like shit.” He has said all Nigerians — who have the highest educational and professional achievement levels in the United States — live in “huts.” He has said all Haitians “have AIDS.” He has called neo-Nazis and white supremacists “very fine people.” He has bragged about grabbing women’s genitalia. He has mocked the disabled. He has no knowledge, no grace, no judgment, no compassion, no sanity.
The America Trump advocates stands in diametric opposition to King’s words: “I have a dream . . . that one day . . . little black boys and black girls will he able to join hands with little white boys and white girls as sisters and brothers.”
Trump would have us all at war with one another.
The Republicans protect this manifestation of the ugliest maggots crawling on the American soul.
Forever, the Party of treasonous Trump and credibly accused child molester Roy Moore will be remembered as some of the most putrid people to ever dip their fungus-infected toes into the Capitol Building — and that is really saying something.
As a nation, we must stand up for Dr. King’s values and against the deplorable devils of our national nature.
May we rise in 2018 and 2020 to show that America is her better angels.
