The firm behind the Russian “dossier” just confirmed one of their sources already got killed

Today, in a stunning and courageous move, Senator Diane Feinstein (D-CA) — the ranking Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee — defied the Republicans and unilaterally released the transcripts of the testimony of Glenn Simpson, the founder of Fusion GPS. The company was responsible for hiring former British spy Christopher Steele to compile the now-infamous Trump dossier.

According to Simpson, his company was hired in 2016 by representatives of the Clinton campaign and Democratic National Committee to conduct opposition research on Donald Trump. The dossier that Fusion GPS produced included accusations that the Trump campaign colluded with Russia to influence the election. Until now, the GOP has refused to release the crucial testimony.

One of the first damning revelations of the released testimony is an accusation that Trump’s international businesses are part of a money laundering operation. Now, another stunning part of the testimony has surfaced.

During the course of the Fusion GPS testimony, Simpson’s lawyer Joshua Levy stated that “someone has already been killed for the dossier.” The comment was made as justification for protecting the identities of Christopher Steele’s sources.

Levy doesn’t clarify who thinks he was killed as a result of the dossier, but it would not be out of character for Putin to have someone murdered to protect his interests. The Russian dictator has a long history of assassinating journalists and political rivals who threaten him.

The fact that Levy believes the sources of the dossier are still in danger shows that the information contained within still demonstrates a pronounced risk to Putin, and perhaps Trump himself.

The American people deserve the truth. They deserve to know whether their president betrayed them in order to steal the election. Luckily, we have courageous Democrats like Dianne Feinstein to stand up to the cowardly Republicans providing cover for Trump.
