Oprahmania reached new heights after the superstar TV host/movie star/media mogul gave one of the most inspiring speeches one could imagine at the Golden Globe Awards held by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association last night.
The speech, which moved many in the audience to tears, sparked multiple calls for Oprah Winfrey to run for President in 2020 from a populace starved for a figure of intelligence and inspiration on the public stage.

The White House put on a brave face today after the world was reminded how inarticulate and uninformed President Trump appears by comparison to the popular celebrity.
According to an article on The Hill today:
“We welcome the challenge, whether it be Oprah Winfrey or anybody else,” said White House spokesman Hogan Gidley.Sponsored Links
Gidley, a deputy press secretary to the President, confirmed that Trump intends to run for a second term and claimed that his numerous achievements would give him the edge in any race.
“Regardless of who decides to run against this president, they are going to have to face a president who has record-setting achievements in a record-setting time,” he said.
Trump is apparently believing his own lies these days.advertisement
Gidley could not confirm whether the President had watched Oprah’s speech on the Golden Globes Sunday night, so he may not have any idea what he’s going to be up against if Oprah decides to run and wins the Democratic nomination, but an analysis of the Q-scores of the President and Ms. Winfrey indicate that Trumps bravado may be wildly misplaced.
Q-scores measure a celebrity’s likability and public awareness. Oprah gets a much higher than average 24 point positive Q-score. President Trump’s score? 7 points positive Q-score with 44 points negative.
While speculation this early in the game lacks much value, anything to take our minds off the grim reality we currently face helps make 2020 seem that much closer.
