It was announced this morning that the President’s lawyers have filed a cease-and-desist order against author Michael Wolff and publisher Henry Holt in order to stop the publication of Fire and Fury, which is set to be released on January 9th.
They have also demanded that Wolff bend the knee and apologize to the President for reporting embarrassing details about the inner workings of the Trump administration and about Trump’s own behavior behind closed doors.

Copies of the book were obtained by multiple news outlets yesterday, who promptly shared the stunning reporting with the public.

From the truth about Trump’s hair to the revelation that Trump never wanted or expected to win the presidency at all, the flood of embarrassing revelations in the book has sent the President into a humiliated rage.
Yesterday, the president’s team issued a similar cease-and-desist against former Chief White House Strategist Steve Bannon, whose comments about Don Jr.’s “treason” in the book set off a firestorm of controversy and a civil war within the conservative community.
Whether or not the President’s legal efforts will amount to anything remains to be seen, but the furious backlash from the White House speaks volumes about the accuracy of what is reported in the book.
Trump is about to learn the hard way that as President, you simply can’t just throw money and lawyers at problems until they go away. In any case, Trump’s 2018 is off to a hell of a start.
