Trump just tried to bully the NY Times’ new publisher in whiny Twitter tirade – and failed

The president of the United States took to Twitter this morning and fired off a condescending string of tweets at the New York Times over their “unfair” coverage of him. Congratulating them for hiring a new publisher, he once again reiterated his constant demand that the media “treat him fairly” – which in Trump-speak simply means never publishing anything negative about him.

The President once again repeated the false assertion that the New York Times had “apologized” to him for an error in their coverage and accused them of inventing the anonymous sources in his administration that have been leaking embarrassing information about the chaos that grips the White House.

Trump’s tweets are clearly part of his incessant campaign to discredit the New York Times and other major newspapers, who have been sending shockwaves through the political world with their bombshell reporting on the Trump-Russia investigation and the various misdeeds of Trump and his cronies.

But seeing as the new publisher, A.G. Sulzberger, has already declared that he will dedicate his paper to fighting against “politicians [who] jockey for advantage by inflaming suspicion of the press,” it’s looking like Trump is in for a rude awakening.
