Trump’s lawyer just admitted to $130,000 porn star payout in bombshell late-night development

In a stunning admission, the President’s personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, said that he made the $130,000 payout to porn star Stormy Daniels – who claimed to have had an affair with Trump in 2006 – out of his own pocket.

“Neither the Trump Organization nor the Trump campaign was a party to the transaction with Ms. Clifford, and neither reimbursed me for the payment, either directly or indirectly,” Cohen told The New York Times, referring to Stephanie Clifford, who goes by the “stage name” of Stormy Daniels.

“The payment to Ms. Clifford was lawful, and was not a campaign contribution or a campaign expenditure by anyone,” he added.

Per a bombshell Wall Street Journal report, Clifford received a $130,000 payout from Trump’s lawyer as part of a nondisclosure agreement in October of 2016, one month before the general election. The payout was reported to the FEC by a watchdog group, as unreported in-kind contributions violate campaign finance law. Cohen, however, opted to “disclose” that the payout came out of his own pocket, which is convenient at best, and absolutely ridiculous otherwise.

In a stunning In Touch Magazine interview, Daniels claimed that Trump had an affair with her in 2005 shortly after Melania gave birth to their child.

“I actually don’t even know why I did it, but I do remember while we were having sex, I was like, ‘Please, don’t try to pay me,’” Daniels told the magazine.

“We hung out for a little while, and he just kept saying, ‘I’m gonna call you, I’m gonna call you. I have to see you again. You’re amazing. We have to get you on The Apprentice,’” she added.

Trump, for his part, has been accused of sexual harassment or misconduct by at least 19 women. He has neither confessed to these crimes nor taken any degree of responsibility for them. Even in the face of damning evidence – such as the Access Hollywood tapes – the President has refused to address the issue.

The Trump team’s desperation is showing, and while they get points for creativity, their credibility is in the toilet.
